How to increase the allowed power consumption of electricity

A constant increase in the number of household consumers leads to the need to increase the amount of electricity per one specific user. If it is practically impossible to do this in a city apartment, then in private housing it is quite possible to solve the issue of raising it. An increase in the power of electricity consumed by the owner of a country house is possible only if a number of conditions are observed that need to be considered separately.

Why increase the power of electricity

Situations when the owners of a private house lack power for current needs are quite common. Usually they are encountered in the following cases:

• After expanding the usable area or redevelopment of the premises in the house.
• Due to the appearance of additional loads (electric "warm floor", for example);
• In cases where living conditions force you to turn on several loads at once: oven, washing machine and dishwasher, as well as a TV, microwave and air conditioning.

An increase in electric power will allow owners to use the right amount of devices without fearing the possible operation of circuit breakers. Also, the solution to this issue will allow you to connect energy-intensive equipment to the household electrical network: pumps, processing machines, electric boilers and other power units.

Ways to increase consumption for a private home

There are three ways to increase the power consumed from the mains in a private house or mansion. To do this, you must do one of the following:

• apply to the network company with a request to increase the permitted level of consumption;
• formally “increase” the available capacity through its competent distribution - by using the principle of priorities;
• install in the house a special storage device (inverter).

In the first case, it will be necessary to prepare a package of documents and submit an application to Energosbyt, compiled according to the standard model. If you want to increase power to a value of no more than 15 kW, the application will cost the consumer no more than 500-1000 rubles.

When using the priority relay, the power supplied by Energosbyt does not actually increase, however, such a technique allows it to be used economically. The principle of limiting consumption is to disconnect from the network loads that are not priority. The relay is triggered if the limit value taken from the network exceeds the permissible norm.

In the case of installing a special inverter, power accumulates in it during periods when almost no electricity is consumed. As a rule, this happens at night. The electricity stock accumulated during this time is consumed during periods of peak load on the power grid.

The choice of one of the proposed options is determined by the preferences and capabilities of the owner of the house.

Power Stages

Before you increase the electric power in a private house, you will need to decide on a volume sufficient for personal needs. This issue is solved by a simple addition of energy consumption indicators of all devices connected to the network. After that, they proceed to the more difficult stage associated with obtaining permission. Sequencing:

1. Preparation and sending of a package of documents to a local network company.
2. Obligatory receipt of technical specifications for connection.
3. Coordination of the local power supply project.
4. Implementation of activities in accordance with the requirements contained in the proposed conditions.
5. Obtaining acts confirming the correctness of the work.
6. Submission of documents certifying amendments to the contract with the supplier.

The development of the project and its implementation, if necessary, refinement of the power supply networks, is carried out with the involvement of specialists from organizations with appropriate approvals for electronic work.

Increased capacity in the parking garage

To increase the power consumption in a personal garage, you will need to contact the same network company with an application, accompanied by the following set of documents:

• Copy of certificate of ownership of temporary or capital structure.
• A copy of a passport or other equivalent document.
• The general plan of the area indicating the location of the garage.
• Copy of TIN.

After approval of the application for increasing capacity, the organization issues TU, the requirements of which are fulfilled by the applicant in any way convenient for him.

After completing all the TU points, a check is necessarily carried out by the representative of the supplying organization. According to its results, the garage owner receives permission to increase power consumption, issued in the form of an act of acceptance of work.

Procedure for non-residential premises

The category of non-residential premises includes areas located on the territory of offices, retail outlets, production shops and similar facilities. Their owners also have to solve the issue of lack of capacity, which is supposed to be allocated according to current standards. With an increase in the fleet of operating equipment (air conditioners, computers and other office equipment), the load on the electric network increases sharply.

As a rule, the owners of non-residential premises are management companies, therefore several consumers are often connected to the network at once.

The most reasonable way out of the situation is to increase the power taken from the network by laying a separate power cable in each room. The procedure in this case is somewhat different from that previously considered for private housing. First, you need to submit an application and prepare documents sent to the address of the network company. The application is executed according to the established model. The finished documentation package should contain:

• Plan of non-residential premises indicating all electrical receivers.
• A copy of the document on the right to use it.
• An extract from the register of an individual entrepreneur.
• A copy of the charter of the company or organization.
• A copy of the certificate of appointment of the head of the company.
• Personal passport or other equivalent document.

The next step is to get the applicant technical specifications for the upcoming work and conclude an agreement with a network company. Its representatives are required to consider the application from the user within 15 days. If errors are found in the design or lack of documents, the applicant must receive a notice explaining the reasons.

After the issuance of the technical specifications, the owner of the premises together with the specialists of the network company will need to carry out all the activities described in this document. They are carried out on the basis of a previously concluded agreement, which stipulates the terms, rights and obligations of the parties. Operations to expand the power supply system indoors are paid by the customer. For all elements located outside the area occupied by the firm, the network organization is responsible.

Upon completion of the electronic work, the representative of the management company checks their quality, installs seals on the counter and draws up the acceptance certificate. The customer is obliged to make all changes to the contract with the supplying organization within a month.

It is allowed to increase the permitted capacity only with the consent of the management company. Its decision is the legal basis for carrying out activities to improve the power grid. Upon receipt of a refusal, you will have to use technical solutions that allow you to economically consume the consumed resource.
