Cesspool machine
It is a unique type of special equipment, which can be used where there is no centralized drainage system, or there are restrictions in the disposal of liquid household waste (ZhBO) and liquids. Such a machine is a convenient and quick way to eliminate the problem associated with cleaning the cesspools.
In the post-Soviet space, the cesspool machine first appeared in the early sixties of the last century. It was then that the first troubles arose in the environmental situation. The principle of operation of such a machine consisted in pumping out concrete waste and other sewage not only from sewer pits, but also cleaning and filtering ponds and reservoirs, and draining construction sites.
Today's vacuum suction trucks are equipped with improved pumping equipment, warning alarms, storage tanks, a separate piping device and a corrugated hose.
There are two methods by which such a machine is pumped out. This is the work of the collector method when the collector engine is functioning. And the second way is to use a vacuum pump. It is more rational and technologically advanced. Most often it is in utility companies that use it.
The principle of operation is based on the fact that the pumped liquid is sucked in with a special hose. There are also sensors responsible for filling the tank. When the level in it reaches a certain mark, the pump automatically completes its work. The operating time of such a car in its main mode at one object is from four to twelve minutes. When the process is completed, the dump truck is sent to the landfill or solid waste disposal site. There the tank is emptied by pumping or gravity. Happy owners will only have to pay for the call.
The disadvantages of this car include limiting temperature periods. If outside the window below -20 or more than +40 degrees Celsius - the car will not work.
Pump use
The fecal pump contains a strainer and, not infrequently, a waste shredder. There are 3 types of such pumps:
- surface;
- semi-submersible;
- submersible.
Surface
The type of pump is well applicable in cases where the pit is filled to the very top. Therefore, it is installed next to the tank, and only the suction pipe is lowered inside. This pump is lightweight, low-power and easy to transport.
This type of equipment does not contain a grinding element, but at will it is bought and installed separately.
The advantage is its low price, as well as the possibility of operation for other purposes. The disadvantages include noisy work, low productivity and pressure, complexity in a permanent installation.
Semi-submersible
The view goes into the pit, but the main working mechanism is installed above the surface of the suction sewage. The body of the device does not come into contact with water, and is mainly made of aluminum.
Such a pump is installed on special floats, due to this the mechanism is constantly in one position. The design of the cesspool should be built taking into account this type of pump.
The disadvantages of this equipment include a complex mount, noisy operation and the fact that the engine is not protected from environmental aggression.
Advantages are access to the engine, if it needs to be repaired, efficiency, stability, the ability to install an engine is more powerful.
Submersible
This type is used in a chemical and aggressive environment. The pump housing is usually cast iron or steel. Although, models with low power are also made of plastic. It is not subject to corrosion, but is sensitive to bacteria and accidental impacts.
The pump is installed at the very bottom of the pit. The position can be vertical or horizontal. So that it does not warp, set the guides. At the bottom of the pit, it is installed using a cable, and then connected to electricity.
The functioning of the apparatus is controlled by the float method. When the sewage level drops, the pump automatically stops its operation. This type of grinder has more often than others.
The advantages include stationary installation, maximum performance, quiet operation, automation, good power, protection from aggressive environments, the ability to pump liquids with solid particles.
There is only one minus: if a breakdown occurs or there is a need to transfer the unit to another place, it will need to be completely cleaned of feces.
Manual cleaning
If there is an urgent need to get rid of sewage, then you can do it yourself. You will need a rope and a bucket. Many country owners do so. But this method requires special equipment, endurance and physical fitness.
Overalls not only protect you from the squeamish liquid environment, but also from its chemical aggression.
A gas respirator is also required. It will protect your airways from high methane sewer vapors: it is dangerous to inhale it.
Complete your work image with rubber boots and gloves.
Before work, you should prepare a container in which you will pour sewage. It must be airtight. Later it will need to be taken to a special place for waste disposal.
Work safer and easier when paired. If suddenly the employee downstairs becomes ill, the second person will always have time to come to his aid.
It is worth knowing that if the drain pit is deeper than 3 meters, the dump truck will not be able to service it. However, in modern life such deep sedimentation tanks no longer dig.
