Sewerage cleaning is a necessary procedure for owners of private houses who install an individual septic tank and cannot connect to the city sewage system. Especially for these purposes, there are effective methods, one of which involves calling the cesspool machine.
The principle of operation of the machine and its features
A private sewage pumping machine is called a sewage machine. It is intended for the collection and disposal of waste products entering the sewer. Among the areas of use of this unit are the treatment of cesspools and septic tanks, as well as urban ponds, shallow ponds, artificial canals in rural and urban areas.
The machine consists of a set of equipment hermetically connected to each other by special elements that prevent sewage from going out:
- wide hose for pumping waste;
- connecting pipes;
- pump;
- a tank into which sewage leaves;
- signaling device.
Cesspool equipment is equipped mainly with vacuum pumps, although initially there was also a different type, suction motor collector.
Features of work
The main feature of the cesspool machine is the presence of a sealed tank with the same pipes that should not have leaks. The same requirements apply to the corrugated pipe, which is immersed in a pit or septic tank for the removal of household waste. The principle of operation is as follows:
- The hose working sleeve is connected to the tank, the strength of the fasteners is checked, then the second end is lowered into a well, pit, septic tank or other container.
- They include a vacuum pump, which pumps out all the liquid and semi-liquid elements into a sealed tank. It is filled partially or completely. The fuse gives a sound and light signal to fill the structure.
- The corrugated hose is rolled up, the machine goes to the site where the waste is drained and disposed of.
Suction machines can work only in conditions of relative cold - up to -20, and also at a temperature of no higher than +40 heat. The maximum working distance depends on which corrugated pipe is attached to the tank. Usually it does not exceed 15 m, but can be shorter - up to 6 m.
Overall cesspool machines can work with a pipe up to 25 linear meters. If the volume allows, in rare cases, connect a hose up to 30-35 m long.
Constantly using a long sleeve is unacceptable if it is possible to drive equipment to the waste collection point, this is due to the heavy load on the motor and pump.
Types of cesspool mechanisms
The first group of machines with a collector engine is almost not used, they were replaced by equipment with a built-in vacuum pump. The average duration of the vacuum equipment is from 4 to 12 minutes, the collector motors lasted longer.
After completing the cleaning procedure, the machine takes the waste to a recycling point, empties the tank. The principle of operation of sewage treatment machines is very similar. Partially different:
- volume of the filled tank;
- dimensions of the machine itself;
- container filling technology;
- chassis brand.
All sewer units consist of a tank, a vacuum pump, a light and sound sensor, a compartment with a receiving hatch for the hose, as well as a technical crane and auxiliary electrical equipment.
Advantages and disadvantages of calling a scavenger
Among the positive aspects of calling specialized equipment for cleaning the septic tank can be identified:
- the ability to call the unit a few hours before the required cleaning;
- high efficiency of the procedure - a vacuum pump for pumping sewage removes up to 100% of waste;
- the work is silent and fast enough;
- you can perform additional pumping, even if the tank is very large and for 1 call it was not possible to fit the entire contents of the septic tank;
- after pumping, the contents are destroyed;
- the customer does not need to participate in the procedure.
Among the disadvantages of this method, the presence of odor during the operation of the unit is distinguished. Also, he is not able to clear the contents of the septic tank. The cost of work varies from 300-500 to 1000 rubles, in some regions even more expensive. If you have a small tank, you will have to order 1-2 times a month or more often. It is also very important that the septic tank is in the reach of a large machine, it will not be able to drive into narrow spaces, and the length of the pumping hose may not be enough.
