To detect failures in the Pioneer air conditioning system, there is a self-diagnosis function. Error codes for Pioneer air conditioners are displayed using various combinations of multi-colored LEDs located on the front panel of the indoor unit. If at the same time the system has detected several faults, the codes are displayed in turn.

Error Codes for Pioneer Air Conditioners External Module
There is a red LED on the outdoor unit, which in a normal situation blinks this way: once from the side ON, once from the side OFF. If a malfunction is detected, the diode blinks twice from the OFF side and three times from the ON side.
After that, the frequency of blinks increases, and their mode will correspond to the error code of the air conditioner Pioneer.
