Everything about the air conditioning cooling system: power, fan, area

The cooling system in the air conditioner is based on the quality of the liquids to receive heat during the transition to the gaseous fraction and to give off during condensation.

Air conditioning cooling system

Everything about the air conditioning cooling system: power, fan, areaThe cooling system in the air conditioner consists of the following units:

  • Compressor - it is necessary to increase the pressure of the refrigerant, moving it along the cold path;
  • Capacitor - This is a radiator located in the outdoor unit. Here, the condensation of the refrigerant occurs or its transition to a liquid state;
  • Evaporator - and this is the radiator of the internal module. Here, the refrigerant is brought to the boiling and evaporation temperature;
  • Thermostatic expansion valve (TRV) - located to the evaporator. Here the refrigerant pressure decreases. As a thermostatic valve in air conditioners, a copper coil is installed;
  • Air conditioning cooling fans - they provide air mass movement around the condenser and evaporator. Needed to enhance heat transfer. The air in the room gives off heat to the refrigerant, and the street takes it.

Between the condenser, the compressor and the thermostatic expansion valve pass copper tubes, which forms the refrigeration circuit. Freon mixed with a drop of engine oil passes through the tubes.

Air conditioning cooling capacity

The cooling capacity of the air conditioner is the first indicator that buyers are interested in.

Can air conditioning cope with room cooling? Is its entire reserve used, or will an overly strong compressor work half-heartedly?

For an approximate calculation, the proportion is suitable:

  • For 10 square meters of serviced space, 1 kilowatt of cooling capacity of the air conditioner is required.

That is, for a room of 20 square meters, a 2-kilowatt compressor is suitable. The air-conditioned cooling area may be larger or smaller depending on the location of the room (south or north), the number of windows, the number of equipment (in the office or store), the number of people who are constantly in the room. But for residential premises, the cooling area with air conditioning can be calculated according to the above formula.

Accurate calculation is important, as lack of power will increase the load on the compressor and air conditioning cooling fans.

But the temperature in the room will not drop to the desired indicators. If you buy a too powerful air conditioner "for growth", the entire compressor resource will not be used. Which entails meaningless expenses.
