Refueling and refueling air conditioners
The first filling of the air conditioner with freon is carried out at the factory, where it is pumped into the external unit under pressure. Natural Freon Drain
Even in a perfectly functioning air conditioner, there is a slight refrigerant leak of no more than 8 percent per year.
This is a normal phenomenon, characteristic of even the most expensive devices.
In this connection, once every 24 months, it is necessary to refill the conditioner with freon.
If you do not refuel, the amount of refrigerant drops to critical, the load on the compressor increases, leading to burnout of the latter. As a result, savings on refueling will result in compressor repair costs.
The need to refuel the air conditioner
Each consumer can determine for himself the need for refueling the air conditioner with freon:
- Warm air is blown out;
- On some parts of the outdoor unit ice or frost freezes.
If such symptoms appear, it is necessary to stop the operation of the device and call the after-sales service. It is not advisable to use the instructions to refuel the air conditioner.
The refrigerant must be under a certain pressure. High blood pressure, as well as excess freon, can accelerate the breakdown of the air conditioner.
Customer services do not refuel for free. This service is not a guarantee service, therefore, expenses cannot be avoided. The wizard will not take the money only if the freon leaked due to an illiterate installation of the device and if the service center did it. For example, the diameters of copper pipes for air conditioners may be incorrectly selected, poorly rolled, broken or bent pipes.
The cost of the service will depend on the quality of freon, the price of different brands is different.
How do they do it
First, the master tests the system for leaks. All punched parts are changed, taking into account the diameter of the copper pipes for the air conditioner, the connections that allow freon are redone. And now you can fill in a new freon.
