Fluorescent lamps are also economically viable. They serve 5 times longer than conventional incandescent lighting fixtures.
LED lights are popular. They are used in porches and for lighting roads. The shapes of such lamps are diverse. All devices are equipped with a motion or noise sensor.
Lamps for staircases are stationary or portable. The first option only works when connected to a centralized network. If the lamps are used for street lighting, solar-powered products can be purchased.
LED spotlights
LED lamps are used as the main or backup light source inside the building or on the street. Motion sensors make them as convenient and economical as possible. A searchlight consists of the following nodes:

LED overhead lights

- Ultrasonic Waves of a given length are emitted and received. Ultrasonic sensors are considered universal. They are allowed to be used in the entrance and on the street. However, they are characterized by low accuracy, limited by the zone of influence.
- Microwave Propagate magnetoelectric waves in the range of more than 5 GHz. Expensive devices are equipped with a control panel.
The maximum power of lamps with motion sensors is 2 kW, although this value is too large for the entrance.
Installation and Connection
Lighting in an apartment building is mounted according to a previously prepared scheme. First you need to choose the place where the device will be installed. The viewing angle should not overlap. In order to prevent the indicator from burning out due to a power surge, it is better to connect a key switch to the product. It will allow you to turn off the device in the daytime, when artificial lighting is not required. It is much easier to install stand-alone devices, as they do not require a connection to a centralized power grid.
When connecting the access lamp, the general network must be disconnected from the power supply. Instrument wires are connected to cables. After that, you need to adjust the motion sensor. It is possible to set individual settings. However, it is better to use the manufacturer's instructions for proper adjustment.
Advantages and disadvantages of luminaires with motion sensors
Devices have such advantages:
- Profitability. Modern lighting devices consume much less electricity than standard incandescent lamps. If such products are installed by utilities, there is a possibility of lower prices for light.
- Easy operation and maintenance. The device needs periodic cleaning of dust. If necessary, component parts are changed. From time to time, you need to inspect the lamp for mechanical damage, the health of the motion sensor, the integrity of the ceiling.
- Ease of customization. If you follow the instructions, you can set the desired operating mode of the device. For example, you can turn it off for the day and set the work only at night. The duration of the lamp glow is also adjustable.
- Easy installation.
- Autonomy. There are options that run on batteries or rechargeable batteries. They do not need to be connected to a centralized power grid. Products require periodic replacement of power elements.
- High brightness of the lamp.
Products have some disadvantages.
- They are not cheap.
- If the device is exposed to moisture, it will quickly fail, so do not install it on the street.
- Depressurization of the ceiling negatively affects the operation of the fixture.
Incandescent bulbs are a thing of the past. They can be replaced by modern economical fixtures that last at least 5 years. The devices supplemented with motion sensors work only if necessary.
